As the weekend approaches, put on your dancing shoes and get ready to shake a leg or two as Three dots & a Dash hosts an exclusive edition of ‘Tango Social Sunday’ on September 24, 2017 from 5 pm to 7 pm. Popular city based troupe Bangalore Argentine Tango brings back its trademark event - ‘Argentina Tango’ clubbed with weekend fun on Sunday. While you chill and make merry over the signature Tiki cocktails, don’t forget to shake a leg or 2 with an ensemble of some talented dancers.
The Argentine tango is a social dance that brings together melodic music and creative movements to build a beautiful connection between the two partners. Established in 2011, Bangalore Argentine Tango is the largest non-profit tango dance school and community in the country. The troupe is also going to be hosting World champion Sebastian Jiminez and Joana Gomes for workshops and performance in September.
Argentine tango is a popular partnered social dance, in which the couples embrace to dance. The posture movement and intent in Argentine Tango is quite different from ballroom dancing. Unlike ballroom dances, which tend to be more structured, social tango is improvised, with every step being a spontaneous discovery in the moment, as the partners focus on their connections to each other and to the music.
