He noted that internationally recognised TEDx Talks programmes are conducted across the world, including at schools and educational institutions. Rather than focusing only on globally renowned personalities, TEDx platforms provide an opportunity to highlight the ideas of ordinary people and amplify local voices.
Experts from various professional and academic fields shared their insights, experiences and innovative ideas with the audience. They highlighted the importance of creativity, leadership, education, technology, social responsibility and personal transformation in shaping a better future.
Speakers and Their Talks
Rev. Fr. Dr. Joseph T.C., President of St. Paul’s College, spoke on the topic “It’s Not About the Glass”, encouraging students to develop critical thinking and creativity in their approach to life and learning.
Dr. Mahantesh G., Founder-President of Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, spoke on “From Braille to Bytes”, highlighting the evolution of technology and technological systems for persons with disabilities over the past three decades.
Environmentalist Revathi Kamath spoke on the topic “A Lake Is Not Just a Lake”, drawing attention to the broader environmental significance of lakes.
The youngest speaker, Arthith Rajanath M. a student of Christ ISC School, spoke on astrophysics on the topic “Please Stop Asking”, presenting several fascinating concepts and scientific perspectives that sparked curiosity and encouraged scientific thinking among the audience.
Author, storyteller and motivational speaker Ramendra Kumar, Vishal Rajani, Founder of FlowLife India, artificial intelligence researcher Ananya Vinod, Saurabh Gupta, and Ajay Srinivas also addressed the gathering on a range of thought-provoking topics.
The programme was organised by Dr. Prashanth Venugopal, Curator and Licensee of TEDx St. Paul’s College, Bengaluru, along with Dr. Vinod Kumar, Ms. Ananya and Mr. Shinos.
