The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Karnataka today announced its strategic roadmap for 2026–27, outlining key priorities to accelerate Karnataka’s competitiveness on the global stage. The announcement was made by the newly elected leaders of CII Karnataka for 2026–27, Mr Guruprasad Mudlapur, Chairman, CII Karnataka State Council 2026-27 & President, Bosch Group India and Managing Director, Bosch Limited and Mr Sam Cherian, Vice Chairman, CII Karnataka State Council 2026-27 & Managing Director, Schevaran Laboratories Pvt Ltd.


For 2026–27, CII has identified “Accelerating Karnataka’s Competitiveness: Growth, Resilience, Inclusion, Sustainability and Trust” as its theme, prioritising five key pillars. Building on this momentum, CII Karnataka will advance its agenda with a sharper focus on strengthening advocacy and Ease of doing business, promoting Inclusive and balanced growth beyond Bengaluru, and enhancing ecosystem competitiveness through capability building for Future Readiness, MSME, Family Business, Supply Chain including AI transformation, Decarbonisation, Energy transition, and Water Stewardship. CII Karnataka will also focus on Learning and Development, Fostering Strategic Partnerships and Collaborations, and supporting Internationalisation initiatives to drive growth and expand market access.


Building on the momentum of impactful initiatives in recent years, CII Karnataka will deepen its commitment to Beyond Bengaluru through its zonal and district councils. These efforts will focus on driving sustained advocacy and enabling strategic interventions that foster industry investment, innovation, and balanced regional growth across the State.


With a sharper emphasis on MSMEs, the agenda will prioritize enhancing competitiveness, strengthening global integration, and accelerating the adoption of sustainability practices and digital transformation. Together, these initiatives aim to create a more resilient, inclusive, and future-ready industrial ecosystem in Karnataka. Services of CII’s Centres of Excellence will be taken forward under cluster models in areas such as sustainability, energy transition, digital transformation, skilling, and MSME competitiveness.


Mr Guruprasad Mudlapur, Chairman, CII Karnataka State Council 2026–27 and President, Bosch Group India and Managing Director, Bosch Limited, said, “Under the theme ‘Accelerating Karnataka’s Competitiveness,’ CII Karnataka is focused on advancing the state’s leadership in innovation, advanced manufacturing, and technology-led growth. Through our focused initiatives and programs, we are driving policy advocacy, ease of doing business, and AI-led industrial transformation, while equipping industries, especially MSMEs, through our Centres of Excellence. In partnership with government, industry, academia, and global stakeholders, we remain committed to driving resilient and inclusive growth aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat”


Mr Sam Cherian, Vice Chairman, CII Karnataka State Council 2026–27 & Managing Director, Schevaran Laboratories Pvt Ltd added “Karnataka stands at a pivotal moment in its growth journey, with significant potential to drive inclusive and regionally balanced development. At CII Karnataka, our priority will be to accelerate the growth of Tier-2 & Tier 3 cities by strengthening local industrial ecosystems, fostering entrepreneurship, and enhancing infrastructure and market access. We are particularly focused on empowering MSMEs and family businesses through capability building, digital transformation, and sustainable practices, enabling them to scale and compete globally. As CII we remain committed to stronger industry-government collaboration and initiatives like Beyond Bengaluru, and are working toward supporting our members become resilient, future-ready enterprises while driving equitable economic growth across the State.”
