
The 2018 edition of National awards for Media has been presented at a grand ceremony held at the KASSIA Auditorium by the Council for Media and Satellite Broadcasting (CMSS).
State JDS spokesperson and former minister YSV Datta, Karnataka Media Academy president M Siddaraju, senior journalist Dr. Babu Krishnamurthy, CMSB Founder & Chairman Sri Bicky Bangari, All India General Secretary M K Jain, State Honorary President Jagalur Laxmanarao, National Secretary Arun Agarwal, State General Secretary Manjunatha T A and well-known folk singer Gururaj Hosakote inaugurated by lighting the lamp.
Speaking on the occasion, the Karnataka Media Academy president M Siddaraju said, journalists work 24X7 day and night to provide information to public, at same time they need safe and secured life. Council for Media and Broadcasting (CMSB) media organization is promoting journalists to identify their extraordinary service on their domain. He congratulates both CMSB team and awardees.
Speaking inaugurating the program, former legislator YSV Datta said, we the politicians always provide news to media for their TRP at the same time media also understand its importance with legislature, executive, judiciary and 4th branch is press. Very important position we have provided to media so journalists report the news impartially always to the society.
Renowned senior journalist Dr. Babu Krishnamurthy and popular folk singer and actor Gururaja Hosakote were honoured at the occasion.
