Infosys Foundation Chairperson Smt Sudha Murthy today called on Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwara and invited him to participate in a function organised with regard to construction of Konapana Agrahara Metro Rail Station in the city on July 19.
The foundation is expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation in this regard. Later talking to media representativies the DCM G Parameshwara said he also requested the foundation to construct housing for police and a police station for which Mrs Murthy responded positively.
The government had already constructed 7000 houses for the police out of 11000. By enlisting participation of corporate companies, the government would provide better amenities to the families of police personnel, he added.
