

Addressing the gathering, the Hon'ble Governor said that the inauguration of the new classrooms was not merely the opening of buildings but the opening of the future of Karnataka and India. He remarked that modern and well-equipped school infrastructure provides a strong foundation for the dreams and aspirations of future generations.
"The true strength of a nation lies not only in its natural wealth or economic resources, but in knowledgeable, skilled, cultured, and responsible citizens," he said. Emphasising the importance of value-based education, the Governor stated that education should not be confined to securing good marks or employment alone, but should nurture wisdom along with knowledge, compassion alongside science, values with success, and a sense of duty along with rights.
Quoting the timeless Indian ethos, "Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, Sarve Santu Niramayah," the Governor said that the true success of education lies in cultivating a spirit of living for the welfare of society. He highlighted the crucial role of teachers in instilling values such as honesty, discipline, self-confidence, scientific temper, sensitivity, and patriotism among students. He further observed that education becomes complete only when students understand their responsibilities towards their family, society, the environment, and the nation.
The Governor noted that the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has provided a roadmap for making education holistic, skill-oriented, innovation-driven, and student-centric. He urged schools to encourage students beyond textbooks by promoting laboratory learning, sports, arts and culture, environmental conservation, and the creative use of technology.
Describing Karnataka as a land of rich traditions in knowledge, literature, science, and culture, the Governor called upon students to remain rooted in their cultural heritage while embracing modern science and technology. He stressed that girls have a vital role in building a Developed India by 2047 and said it is the collective responsibility of society to ensure every girl receives quality education, safety, healthcare, self-confidence, and leadership opportunities.
Highlighting the rapid transformation taking place through Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Biotechnology, Renewable Energy, Space Technology, and Digital Technology, the Governor urged schools to promote science models, innovation projects, reading clubs, skill development initiatives, and sports activities to prepare students for the future.
Underscoring the importance of environmental conservation, the Governor appealed to students to become ambassadors of environmental awareness by planting trees, conserving water, reducing plastic use, saving electricity, and maintaining cleanliness.
Expressing confidence in the institution's future, the Governor said Karnataka Public School would emerge as a centre of knowledge, discipline, culture, innovation, and excellence, and that every student graduating from the school would bring pride to their family, Karnataka, and the nation.
The Governor congratulated the school fraternity, the Education Department, local administration, public representatives, teachers, parents, and everyone who contributed to the creation of the educational campus.
