Recalling his tenure as Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, the Hon'ble Governor said that, under the guidance of the Hon'ble Prime Minister, several schemes, facilities and legislative measures have been introduced for the welfare, protection of rights and empowerment of persons with disabilities.
"Persons with disabilities possess immense talent, confidence and potential. It is the responsibility of society to provide them with equal opportunities," he said.

Appreciating Mitti Cafe Founder Alina Alam and her team for their contribution towards building an inclusive and equitable society, the Hon'ble Governor said that such social enterprises play an important role in realising the national vision of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas."
He called upon society, educational institutions and the industrial sector to adopt more inclusive employment models on a larger scale to create greater employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.
The Hon'ble Governor also appreciated the partnership between DBS Bank India and Mitti Cafe for launching the new Cafe outlet at 1 MG Mall.
