Presiding over the 5th convocation of Bangalore City University, the Governor addressed the graduates: "Dear students, the present is an era of rapid change, technology, innovation, and global competition. New opportunities are constantly emerging in areas such as artificial intelligence, data science, biotechnology, green energy, cybersecurity, and digital innovation. In such an era, knowledge should be acquired through learning."

Highlighting Bengaluru's stature, he added, "Bengaluru is known as the technology capital of the country and the land of innovation. This city is not only a hub for information technology but also a major hub for entrepreneurship, research, startup culture, and creative thinking. I am confident that the students of Bangalore City University will further strengthen this unique identity of Bengaluru. Our nation is moving towards the goal of 'Developed India 2047'. Your role, youth, is crucial in achieving this national goal. You are the architects of an India based on innovation, knowledge, and values. We know that India's greatest strength is its youth power. If our youth are equipped with knowledge, skills, values, and national spirit, India will definitely achieve a prominent place in the global community."

The Governor urged students to look beyond personal success: "Students, do not limit life to your individual achievements. Also understand your responsibilities towards society and the nation. Today, when the world is facing climate change, social inequality, and economic challenges, your role becomes even more important. Be responsible citizens who protect the environment, are sensitive to the weaker sections of society, and contribute to holistic development."

Quoting Mahatma Gandhi, he emphasized, "The purpose of education is not only to acquire knowledge but also to build character. If morality, sensitivity, and human values are not rooted in education, education remains incomplete. Therefore, students should make charity, integrity, compassion, hard work, and love the foundation of life. These values will provide you with lasting success in life."

The Governor commended the university: "I would like to express my appreciation to the University Administration, Faculty, and Staff for their continuous contribution to promoting education, research, and academic excellence. I hope that Bangalore City University will scale new heights at the national and international levels in the coming years."

Noting the institution's rapid progress, he said, "Bangalore City University has achieved many milestones in a short span of time. In line with the changing times and evolving academic, research, evaluation, and administrative systems, the University has developed and expanded its infrastructure. The University is proud to confer degrees on these distinguished individuals. I congratulate them for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the progress of society and urge them to continue working for the benefit of society, the public, and the nation."

Vice Chancellor Prof. B. Ramesh and other dignitaries were present at the ceremony.
