Canara Bank marks 120th Founders Day with the opening of its 10,000th Branch in Budigere Cross, Bengaluru

The new branch was inaugurated by Shri M. Nagaraju, Secretary, DFS/Ministry of Finance, Government of India, along with Shri Satyanarayana Raju, MD and CEO, Canara Bank, and other senior officials of the bank. The event highlighted the bank's dedication to growth and customer service excellence.


The new branch is equipped with well-trained staff and advanced digital facilities to enhance customer experience and to provide seamless banking solutions to the bank's valuable customers. Canara Bank reaffirms its mission to leverage technology and inclusive growth strategies to maintain its position as one of India's leading public sector banks.


Since its inception in 1906, Canara Bank has been a pillar of trust and financial inclusion in India. The bank currently manages a business portfolio of 2,678,963 crore, reflecting its strong presence and market trust. As of today, the bank has a network of 10,001 branches, including 3172 Rural, 2980 Semi-Urban, 1968 Urban, and 1881 Metro branches, along with 10903 ATMs. The bank also has four overseas branches in London, New York, Dubai, and IBU Gift City. The opening of the 10,000th branch marks a significant milestone in the bank's century-plus journey, symbolising its dedication to serving underserved communities and fostering economic development.
