Deputy Chief Minister Dr. G Parameshwara, who also holds Bangalore Development Portfolio, exhorted the Bangalore Development Authority officials to discharge their duties in a more transparent way.
Reviewing the functioning of BDA, the DCM said there is an urgent need for BDA to work towards retaining the confidence of the people. The purpose for which the BDA was set up has been totally changed with more concentration on construction of Road, flyovers and other commercial activities instead of constructing houses for middle class and poor people of society.
He advised the officials not to give room for unnecessary expenditure and cancel tenders if there was inordinate delay in executing works.
