Mr.Tejasvi Surya, Hon’ble Member of Parliament was the Chief Guest and Key Note Speaker. The delegates included, the Founder Chairman Dr. K.R.Paramahamsa, Mr. Rahul Kalluri Executive Vice President, Principals and Faculty of AMC Institutions.
In his opening remarks, Dr. K.R. Paramahamsa provided a glimpse of achievements of AMC Institutions during the three decades of its existence spread across eleven Institutions with over ten thousand students currently studying, from pre-nursery to Post Graduate Programs. He extended a warm welcome to the new students.Mr. Rahul Kalluri, the Executive Vice President of AMC Institutions mentioned that it is imperative to skill our students with what is needed by industry with an entrepreneurial mindset and this can be done through a collaborative effort between the government, industry and academia.
Mr. Tejasvi Surya, Member of Parliament, whileaddressing the large gathering of new students and the Faculty of AMC Institutions, exhorted the young minds to dream big and strive to fulfill their dreams, no matter what challenges lie ahead. He quoted the instance of Elon Musk who dreamed big to build a colony on Mars and ended up setting up a space expedition company SpaceX. He said the current Generation was indeed in the Golden Era to reap and enjoy the phenomenal India’s growth during the next phase of 25 years better known as Amrit Kaal. He was speaking onIndia’s next phase of Journey inbecoming the Start Up Capital of the World. He highlighted the various initiatives taken up by the present Government at the Centre in creating conducive eco system of Aatmanirbhar Bharat for encouraging innovation and creativity in the Start Up space, mainly through simplification and handholding for new Start Ups, providing funding support and tax incentives and establishing well-oiled industry academia partnership and incubation. He expressed his happiness that Bangalore remained the epicenterof Indian Start Up space.Mr Surya cited that the Start Ups were not limited to one sector like IT or E-Commerce alone, asusually believed but covers sectors as wide as AgriTech, DeepTech, Gaming, SpaceTech, Education, Food & Beverages, Construction, Renewable Energy, etc. Another heartening fact was that the majority of Indian Start Up Founderswere from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. With a huge talent pool and promising eco system, he averred that the days were not too far to see India as the Startup Capital of the World.
