Governor Flags Off 18th Edition of TCS World 10K Bengaluru
Hon'ble Governor of Karnataka, Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot, flagged off the 18th edition of the TCS World 10K Bengaluru


Addressing the gathering, the Governor described the event as a celebration of running, healthy living, discipline, and collective strength. He noted that the TCS World 10K Bengaluru has become an identity of the city and is now recognized as one of the largest races not only in India but across the world. He expressed happiness that along with youth, differently-abled participants and senior citizens also took part in large numbers, making it a true reflection of inclusivity and the spirit of the Fit India Movement, a flagship programme of Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi.


He further stated that when society, sports, and service come together, they bring about positive change. The Governor emphasized that such marathons play a vital role in connecting people, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and contributing to nation-building.


Shri Gehlot extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Tata Consultancy Services, IDFC First Bank, all participants, organizers, sponsors, and especially Procam International for the grand success of the event. He also appealed to citizens to prioritize fitness in their daily lives, take up sports, and contribute towards building a healthy, strong, and developed nation.


Deputy Chief Minister Shri D. K. Shivakumar, MLA Shri N. A. Haris, MP Shri Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, MP Shri P. C. Mohan, and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
