As a result, Bengaluru's prestigious Rainbow Children's Hospital became the first hospital in the country to achieve EDGE Certification by IFC-The World Bank Group. Rainbow Children’s Hospital Marathalli Bangalore, 200 bedded dedicated mother and child hospital becomes first hospital in the country to achieve coveted EDGE Certification ( Excellence in Design For Greater Efficiencies) today in a function organized by GBCI ( Green Business Certification Inc, USA) at ITC Windsor Bangalore. Rainbow Hospital received the award for its exemplified achievement in the following areas-27% Energy Savings, 32% Water Savings, 26% Less Embodied energy in materials.
