Beauty & Wellness Sector skill council, organised an exclusive Job fair for the beauty and wellness professional at The Lalit Ashok. Trained and certified Beauty Professionals, Hair Stylists, Makeup Artists, Yoga and Fitness professional, Nail Technicians & Spa Therapists participated in the job fair.
This is the first of its kind job fair being organised by the council in this region. More than 25 employers from Beauty & Wellness industry participated in the job fair. The list of employers included renowned organisations VLCC, Naturals, YLG, Talwarkars, Cavin Kare, Vibes, Anoos, Toni & Guy, Richfeel, Enrich, Arthi Salon to name a few.
The full day event had more than 500 candidates from B&WSSC training partners and also walk ins.
Mrs Anu Wadhwa, CEO, Beauty & wellness Sector Skill Council said “"It is our earnest endeavour to ensure skilling to our young and deserving talent of the country and this job fair is just the perfect culmination to all our efforts. I am so happy to see the industry rally together to provide ample employment opportunities to the youth. The Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council aims to make this first of its kind job fair the right platform to match talent to demand. With the success of this event, we hope to increase the frequency of these fairs to help in placements of our pass-outs.”
Financial institution, DICCI was also a part of this job fair to facilitate financial assistance to candidates who wish to start off as entrepreneur. The Beauty & Wellness has huge opportunity for entrepreneurship and this will be the right platform to make the candidates aware of the opportunities available.
An International cruise Liner Indus- Steiner through Airborne also participated in this job Fair, making the Job fair aspirational for the candidates.
The government of Karnataka has been working aggressively in skilling the youth of the state through their various schemes. This job fair was an endeavour to facilitate placements of these candidates.
The Indian Beauty & Wellness Industry is growing at a CAGR of 18.6% with the South India being the Major contributor to the Beauty & Wellness industry. The employment in this sector is growing at a CAGR of 20% with 23% in the organised and 15% in the unorganised market. The demand of the beauty and wellness professionals is the largest one the largest in the South.
