The soothing Bengaluru weather did a world of good to all the runners as they upped their pace and could stretch to clock impressive timings. The women too, staged a good show with Preenu Yadav, Richa Bhadauriya and Pramila Yadav topping the charts in the elite category run held at Whitefield, Bengaluru. 


The event was boosted with the presence of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike’s Mayor Shri Sampath Raj who flagged off the event and endorsed the 10K INTENCITY Run terming it as one of the finest events in Bengaluru which supported the cause of Green, Healthy India. Also present, were eminent sportspersons and Olympians, Arjuna Awardee and Olympian Kenneth Powell, Ekalavya Awardee & Olympian Pramila Aiyappa, Dhyanchand Awardee Satish Pillai and Olympian Anil Rohil and Nagraj Adiga. 



The event’s unique outing was the Lite Horlicks Fit Together Special 5km Run – For Couples Who Stay #FitTogether which was won by the pair of Pravesh and Saroj and had the participation of around 500 couples.


Supported by the Athletics Federation of India, the 10K INTENCITY run which covers 10 different cities has already completed successful runs in the first 3 legs i.e Pune, Indore and Hyderabad. 


This event has received official recognition from the Athletics Federation of India. The 10KINTENCITY run which started from Pune and will now move to Mumbai on December 24, 2017. The winners for 10K INTENCITY Run received Rs 30,000, 20,000 and 10,000 as prize money.


The 10K INTENCITY Run Hyderabad leg was supported by the Bengaluru Police and Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike. Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike’s Mayor Shri Sampath Raj lauded this initiative of Anand Menezes and termed it as a ‘unique effort’ and urged everyone to support his endeavor in its next edition in Bengaluru and other cities. He also commended the sponsors for sponsoring this event for its noble initiative of Green, Healthy India. “There are very few companies who come forward and support such initiatives and they have proved their support by extending their participation to a noble gesture and pulling off a great event. This event will not only help promote cleanliness and greenery in Bengaluru but also across India.”


Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Anand Menezes, Olympian, Founder & Director, Andy Event Management said, “We are extremely grateful for the support and enthusiasm shown by the citizens of Bengaluru who participated in the run. The Bengaluru 10K INTENCITY Run was a proof of the success of the concept of a circuit run which we have taken to different parts of India. We are positive to build on the success of all the cities and head to Mumbai from here,” said Anand Menezes. The total runners who participated across the three categories was over 2000.
