‘Help Someone Walk’ Campaign donates 500 Limbs as a part of its 37th Annual Limb Donation Drive

Bangaluru, November 11th, 2017: Bangalore Round Table 7and Bangalore Ladies Circle 19 in association with Round Table India and Karnataka Marwari Foundation today held the 37th Annual Limb Donation at Mahaveer Jain Hospital, Bengaluru.Over500 limb donations (RupeesFive lakhs) were handed over to the federation by Jyoti Bansal, Chairperson Bangalore Ladies Circle 19 at the event through the annual ‘Help Someone Walk' campaign.Chief Guests Dheeraj Bajaj, Vice Chairman Area 6 and Cr. MadhuriGattani, Chairperson Area 6, extended their support to the cause by being a part of the donation programme.


The annual project, ‘Help Someone Walk’is a donation drive which aids to provide good options for limb transplant to the needy, had modest beginnings with the first donation of a single prosthetic limb by Bangalore Ladies Circle 19 in 1980.In the past five years alone, close to 2500 limb donations have been made possible as a result of this initiative.



Speaking on the occasion, Nitin Bansal, Chairman, Bangalore Round Table 7, said,“It gives us great satisfaction to help the needy. By the funds we have raised this year, we will be donating over500limbs to help people get back on their feet, to continue on with their life with comfort and dignity.”


Jyoti Bansal, Chairperson, Bangalore Ladies circle 19expressed, “Our initiative is to help those who are in need of it. This year, the fund garnered is5 Lakh INR and we are glad to be involved in an initiative such as this. None of this would have been possible without the help and support of all those who have made this dream a success. We hope to continue and grow as a concept and a reality.”
