The inauguration of the PES Cricket Ground and INFINI 2017, the annual international sports fest of PES University was held at PES University by Dr. M. R. Doreswamy, Chancellor, PES University and Dr.K.N.B Murthy, Vice Chancellor, PES University.
Inaugurating the PES Cricket Ground and INFINI 2017, Dr. M R Doreswamy stated that PES University is always committed to overall development of the students entering its portal. He recalled his college days where he used to play kabbadi. He touched upon the sayings of Swami Vivekananda “Foot Ball can help you to reach God”.
He narrated the complete story and said “Get on to the field, play and be physically fit”, is what I have imbibed from my college days and it has stayed with me and made me stay with you. Further he said that sports activities will help in nurturing not just the physical health but also mental health. I always consider “Sports and academics to be two faces of same coin” he added. He called upon all the students to take part in sports activities as rigorously as they take part in academic activities.
