The Karnataka Chief Minister Mr Siddaramaiah called on the Union Minister for Power Mr R K Singh in New Delhi on October 12 and sought his intervention for increasing coal supply and allocation additional of coal blocks, besides, funds for the establishment of Pumped Storage Plant at Sharavathi and Grant-in-Aid / Viability Gap Funding for meeting the revised environmental norms issued by the Ministry of of Environment.
The Minister for Energy Mr D. K. Shivakumar, the Additional Special Representative to Government of Karnataka in New Delhi Mr Saleem Ahmed, the Additional Chief Secretary to Government in the Department of Energy Mr P Ravikumar and the Managing Director of the Karnataka Power Corporation Limited Mr G Kumar Naik were also present on the occasion.
