After pedaling through Chennai, Hyderabad and Gurgaon, India’s first cycling-themed restaurant, Ciclo Café (pronounced as Chee-klo), is now opening in the F&B hub of Bengaluru at Indiranagar. Ciclo Café aims to promote cycling as an active lifestyle choice throughout India, while serving up delicious food and drinks. The concept has had tremendous success in markets like Gurgaon, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
Ciclo merges the concept of cycling with a delightful café ambience which stands out with its quirky, cycling-inspired furniture. It is a well-lit space with comfortable long-table settings for families, an open seating area for large groups and a delightful use of bicycle components built into the decor. The carefully crafted menu is designed to cater to the metropolitan crowd of Bengaluru with interesting twists to local favourites from around the country including dishes like Telangana mutton, Bombay Vada pav, Grilled kasundi black pomfret to name a few.
In a stark departure from other restaurant experiences, customers of Ciclo Café can also choose from 8 premium bicycle brands like Montra, Ridley, Cannondale, Bianchi, GT, Mongoose, Schwinn, Dahon, etc. which are available for purchase or hire. Along with this, one can also expect cycling merchandise and accessories, expert advice on cycling, and curated rides – all accompanied with world-class hospitality.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashish R Thadani, CEO, TI Absolute Concepts (Ciclo Café), echoed, “We launched Ciclo Café in 2015 with the vision to promote cycling as a culture in India. Ciclo is the place to head to whether you are a die-hard foodie or a cycling enthusiast! Bengaluru has the right combination of cycling aficionados and foodies with a global outlook, and we are delighted to be a part of the vibrant restaurant culture of the city.”
