The Swedish advanced method has now made it possible to save the knee. Implants and surgical guides made in Sweden have made it possible to save the entire knee by removing only a piece of the damaged joint and replacing it with an implant. Recently, the first surgery in the Asia Pacific region was successfully performed in India. Prof. Leif Ryd (Founder Episurf Medical AB, Ex-HOD, Department of Orthopaedics, Karolinska, University Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden) who came to India for this surgery. He  was the invited keynote speaker at the Surgeons Meet held at Chancery Hotel, Lavelle Road, Bangalore. It was conducted by Episurf Medical A B   in association with Bangalore Arthroscopy Club. Prof. Leif Ryd  was accompanied by Fredrik Zetterberg, Head of Clinical Affairs at Episurf Medical A B,  and Managing Director, Episurf India, Dr. Mohan Nair.


Dr. Pradeep Kocheepan, Dr. Chirag Thonse, Dr. Mohan Kumar and Dr. Sharath K R were present in the Meet as a speaker. In this program, President  Dr. Rudra Prasad and the Chairpersons of the Bangalore Arthroscopy Club, Dr. PC Jagdish, Dr. Satish Shervegar and  Dr. Madan Ballal were also  present.
