The 14 year old class 9 student of Bluebell School has been selected to the Indian team for the World Shooting Championship in October 2022 .
Tilottama is ranked 43 in the world in Junior Girls Section and at National Level she is ranked No. 2 in Junior and Youth sections.
She took up shooting as hobby during Covid lockdown two years ago and it has now become a passion for her.
In her maiden Nationals in 2021 she won a Silver and three Bronzes. Earlier this year she took part in Junior World Cup held in Germany. Later this month, she will participate in National Games. After the World Meet Tilottama will compete in Asian Shooting Championship and 2022 Nationals. She specialises in 10 metre Air Rifle event.
"Shooting is a mental sport and one needs to practice hard and be very consistent" says Tilottama who practices seven hours daily . Her aim now is to qualify for the 2024 Olympics.
Her father Sujit Sen says "Shooting is an expensive Sport. I have been dipping into my resources to support her career I appeal for sponsorship and financial aid from State and Union Government to help her career so that she brings glory to the country."
