KSPCB reviews consent fees for industries says Mr. Srinivasulu, IFS, Member Secretary, KSPCB
Addressing a special session of the members of Bangalore Chamber of Industries and Commerce, Mr. Srinivasulu, IFS, Member Secretary, KSPCB today informed that the earlier notified fees for obtaining consent for operations by industries, from KSPCB, is being reviewed and revised. The Notification on revised fees is expected to be released any time soon

Mr. Srinivasulu also stressed on having a good mechanism for handling solid wastes generated by industries, disposal of waste oil generated by industries through recycling and not trading on it, management and disposal of e-wastes and more importantly keeping the industrial surrounding areas hygiene by inculcating a cleanliness drive.
Mr. Srinivasulu also said that the recent Order issued on retrofitting of emission control devices for DG sets over 125 KVA by users in Karnataka state, dated September 17, 2021 is being held back and kept in abeyance. The Order required all industries to retrofit emission controlling devices on DG sets, within 120 days, to reduce emissions into air, failing which actions would be taken within the legal framework by the authorities.
