In a big boost to tennis coaching in the city, international ATP tennis coach and sports consultant will now train students of Namma Bengaluru. Till now, the tennis aspirants of the city had to pay hefty fee to get trained in foreign countries. Now, to encourage such students, the Gopalan Sports Tennis Program (GSTP) is inviting globally recognized tennis coach Mr Aubrey Barrett from United Kingdom to train the students in the city. Mr Barrett brings with him a great experience and foreign exposure to the local students.

Aubrey is among the only 5 pc of ATP coaches across the world.  His players have trained with the top 3 ATP players - Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. In addition to Andy and Jamie Murray, Serena and Venus Williams among others. Currently in India, Aubrey will set up the sports structures and quality at Gopalan Sports Centre, Whitefield, Bengaluru. Over the last two years, he has been working with some of the top 10 players in India; including Pragnesh Gunneswaran (India No. 1) Junior Tennis Programme for aspiring young players.

Under Aubrey's guidance, Gopalan Sports Tennis Program (GSTP) is one of the best training programmes to offer to Bengaluru students. This training program has been designed to help junior tennis players reach their highest potential; now and in the future. The pathway consists of ATP Trainer from United Kingdom Mr Aubrey Barrett is set to train the city students. His programs involve progressive in their skills level, knowledge requirements and challenges; complementary to one another so that the children can participate in multiple types of programs throughout the year to continue developing and refining their game.
