A Kannada extravaganza titled “Nudi Sambhrama – Kannada Habba” hosted by Department of Kannada, School of Commerce, Jain (Deemed-to-be University) on 5 December 2018. The Chief Guests Sri Hiremagaluru Kannan (Kannan Mama), a renowned Kannada scholar, Mr. Vijay Raghavendra, a notable actor, Mr. Vyasaraj, a notable singer, and other department faculty members inaugurated the program. 


The key speaker of the fest, Sri Hiremagaluru Kannan, drenched the audience in laughter through his witty speech in Kannada. He noted that one’s feeling of expression towards our Kannada language and literature will make it sustain forever.  In tone with literature, soaked into the words of wit and wisdom, Sri Hiremagaluru Kannan insisted the young minds to cultivate a wise living lifestyle. He also motivated the students to stay determined, through many real life examples to achieve and be successful. 


Mr. Vijay Raghvendra, a notable actor, expressed his feeling towards Kannada literature and language that, “Kannada language is one among the oldest language and it will growin all aspects in future too. Recognition and celebration of the language is the need of the hour. All Kannada and non-kannada speakers should use ‘Kannada’ as mode of communicationto strengthen our rich heritage.”
