Following the massive traction and positive response on their networking app Invitly, Founders Alexander Bregman and Karim Benaissa have expanded their operations here in India. Paris based networking app Invitly was born out of the need to make Professional Networking less daunting, accessible and enjoyable. Instead of swiping or scrolling through profiles or making awkward small talk, Invitly’s innovative approach aptly accommodates the Professional Networking audience. Once you have logged into Invitly, you can look through invites for coffee, lunch or dinner with up to 5 professionals in your proximity and with a theme such as finance, business development and so forth. Instantly you're set up for drinks or a meal with interesting professionals. This way you are expanding your business network, unlocking professional opportunities and discovering great new restaurants in town.
Currently blazing forward with a dedicated team of 7 based out of France and India, Invitly competes with geo-targeted professional networking apps such as Shapr, Bumble bizz, and Ripple. The USP of Invitly lies in its unique model, as it does not follow a profile swiping and matching model like the above-mentioned apps. Invitly does not 'match' people 1 on 1 - Invitly connects professionals in small groups of up to six people. Since their launch in 2018, Invitly has seen a real interest, especially from senior professionals, director, and C-level executives. India has shown major potential, as not only is 50% of their user base from India, but the most active users are Indians as well. With a goal is to reach 100K users by next 6 months, Invitly expects this growth to come out of India.
While acceleration of growth and maintaining the quality of the user base seem to be the primary challenges for Invitly at present, firm trust in their model and the active participation of Invitly ambassadors (+150) in helping the community grow, paints a happy picture for Invitly. Speaking to the Cofounder of Invitly Mr. Alexander Bregman on what's in store for the future, he said “We are also looking to expand our operations here in India and growing our presence over the next few months. We have our head of Business Development who is based out of New Delhi and the objective will be to expand that team with local and qualified resources to manage our Indian operations”.
