Sun-AP Ecopower, a Bengaluru-based engineering firm and Outback Power Technologies, member of the Alpha group, USA and world leader in solar storage solutions and inverters, announced their partnership to introduce to Indian Market, state of the art Alino and Outback series solar products. The energy storage products use Lithium or Advanced LMLA batteries with high efficiency inverters of Outback. This helps promote distributed power generation & ensure uninterrupted power supply in rural areas or power deficit areas, making them compatible with solar, grid and battery. These products will be available across Karnataka now through a network of channel partners being set up by the company for doorstep services.
According to KS Kumar, Managing Director and CEO, Sun-AP Ecopower, “The innovative and globally proven high technology Outback Inverters with energy storage will go a long way in helping customers to self-consume all the solar electricity they produce to offset their utility or EB costs, day and night, as well as power their way through protracted outages and emergencies enabling energy reliability and also visible return on investment over time.”
Further, he pointed out, “We’ve always been striving to simplify people’s access to power and making it as efficient, safe and cost effective as possible. The new offering will pave way for homeowners, offices and rural households seeking a plug-and-play energy storage system to embrace the solution as it is known for its reliability and durability.
“This is an important partnership for us”, said Ajith Kumar, VP- Commercial & BD, Alpha Tech Energy Solutions India, “We are looking forward to sharing our 17 years of off-grid and battery-based systems knowledge and expertise with the local installers. We believe that introducing battery-based solar power and the unique energy resiliency offered by these systems, with the unique feature to remotely control and monitor the system will benefit the rural Indian end-user immensely.”
Energy storage technology has the potential to be a game changer for Indian energy market. By pairing solar energy resources with energy storage technology with high efficiency and safety, it helps to lower energy costs for ratepayers, shave our peak demand energy usage, and reduce our state’s carbon emissions and meet energy requirement reliably across all parts of state and enable end user own and plan their energy needs, Kumar pointed out.
Also, he revealed, the innovative solution will be a boon for customers in areas affected by severe flooding or monsoon and outages due to bad weather, and even those having solar grid connected units as almost all of that electricity potential was stranded on the rooftop without energy storage on-hand to make it useable after the grids went down.
Sun-AP Ecopower and OutBack Power will launch the “Alino” series and “System-Edge” based series of solar off-grid and solar hybrid inverters. These solutions will be equipped to generate 1 kVA loads to 30 kVA loads giving support for 4 to 120 units daily for use to end user or higher if customized and will be backed by energy storage batteries to save the electricity generated for consumption during night times. The series is priced affordably starting with a ready to install complete kit of Rs 2 lacs onwards with rugged design configuration for running pumps or motors or air-conditioners or grinders type inductive loads also with house loads, with optimal utilization configuration.
According to Mr Kumar, Sun-AP Ecopower is building a dedicated franchisee network across Tier I and Tier II and interior towns to take the innovative solutions far and wide across Karnataka encouraging entrepreneurs and businesses alike to help cater this market. Also, the company plans to train technicians at the local level so as to provide seamless service for its innovative plug and play storage-based energy systems.
