Ferns Estates & Developers, which has pioneered the concept of premium gated communities and delighted customers for over three decades, has now forayed into luxury timeshare hospitality segment.
‘Rosetta by Ferns’, the company’s first of the five projects, is a 100-acre luxury resort at Sakleshpur, Karnataka. Over the next three years, ‘Rosetta by Ferns’ will invest over USD 100 million (INR 700 crore) to build projects across Sakleshpur, Chikkaballapur, Coorg and Bandipur in Karnataka, and Yercaud in Tamil Nadu.
The objective is to develop properties at short distances from Bengaluru and other key cities in South India so that clients can enjoy their holidays from a bouquet of luxury holiday destinations at 3-5 hour driving distances.
To enhance customers’ lifestyle holiday experiences and a sense of belonging, the company has also launched the Club Rosetta Holiday Memberships. This is a highly differentiated and flexible point-based membership program, compared to conventional timeshare holidays available in the market, and provides members immediate access to thousands of resorts and holiday homes worldwide. This membership program will be facilitated through the ‘Rosetta’ mobile app, which will offer real-time inventory and provide discerning clients a sense of belonging and an opportunity to holiday at carefully curated luxury destinations at fraction of the cost.
Mr. Errol Fernandes, Chairman & Managing Director, Rosetta by Ferns, said, “Our expertise in developing premium gated communities over the years has enabled us to seamlessly marry real estate with hospitality. With this, we offer members the best and memorable lifestyle holiday experiences and at the same time provide an investment opportunity in a 5-star deluxe property.” He added that this product allows customers flexibility to plan and program their holidays the way they want to, as against conventional holiday products where it is not possible.
Mr. Jai Sreedhar, Joint Managing Director and CEO, Rosetta by Ferns, said, “Over the years, the expectations that well-travelled, discerning Indian travellers have from their holiday experiences have changed dramatically. The focus is slowly, but surely, moving from just products to experiences tailored to delight guests from various points of their stay. At Rosetta by Ferns, we aim to create memorable experiences for our guests throughout their stay across all the potential touch points with the resort such as dining, sleeping, spa, shower experience, etc. A decision taken by the promoters is to only restrict sale of club memberships to 50% of the available inventory to ensure the probability of getting a confirmed accommodation at his choice of time is maximum.”
