Kinetic Green, India’s largest manufacturer of electric three-wheelers has entered into a strategic partnership with SmartE, the country’s first and largest shared electric mobility company, to introduce 10,000 electric three-wheelers across the country within the next 18 months.

Speaking on the importance of this collaboration, Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Founder & CEO of Kinetic Green Energy & Power Solutions, said,“Kinetic Green’s mission is to provide green mobility to the masses. Kinetic Green is pleased to partner with SmartE for deployment of a vast fleet of electric vehicles, especially electric rickshaws to offer a green and differentiated last mile connectivity and affordable urban public transport solution to the citizens of India. We are extremely pleased with the response received to this initiative at Delhi Metro and we hope to expand the scope to various other cities with Metro services as well as to help provide a green affordable public transport in the new Smart Cities of India.”

Given that three wheelers are a primary mode of urban public transport in the cities of India, other than buses, deployment of non-polluting electric rickshaws and autos will also reduce the pollution and carbon emissions greatly in our cities and help create a green public transport ecosystem”.

Goldie Srivastava, Co-Founder & CEO, SmartE said, “We are excited about the partnership with Kinetic Green and believe this marks a truly significant milestone in country’s journey towards becoming a 100% electric vehicle nation by 2030. At SmartE, we have moved over 6 million passengers through our electric last mile service in last two years. We are ramping up significantly and are looking to achieve an average daily ridership of one million in the next 18 months. We want to create a world-classelectric mobility ecosystem in the country, thereby making a solid contribution towards mitigating the challenges posed through hydrocarbon-based vehicular pollution”.
