The top seeds, Faisal Qamar of Rajasthan and Humeria Shaikh of Telangana scripted contrasting victories to claim the men’s and women’s singles titles respectively in the KTPPA-AITA Rs. Faisal, ranked No27 in the country, with an aggressive display, made a short work of the second seed, Ishaque Iqbal of West Bengal 6-3, 6-1 in the men’s singles final which lasted about 90 minutes and Humera beat back late challenge from the unseeded Pratyusha of AP 6-1, 7-5 in the women’s singles final, lasting about 110 minutes . The victory also fetched Faisal a purse of Rs.7800 and Humera received Rs.5200 as prize money.

Ishaque struggled to get back into the fight in the second set but slumped with quite a few unforced errors as Faisal slammed his way to a 6-1 win and bagged the tie and title.
