Bengaluru athletes scripted history as they bagged top honours at the NAC Mr World Bodybuilding Championships 2018 held at Cebu, Philippines on June 1 and 2, 2018. Our athletes have made India proud and as they now became the world no 2 in the Mr World Bodybuilding Championships 2018 (after Germany) by winning more trophies in the championships. Around 11 countries had participated in the championship with 270+ athletes in various categories organised by Workout World Gym and Health Club Cebu.
Athletes from Karnataka won many laurels and trophies consistently with overall Championship and this ensured India being placed No. 2 in the world. This is a great achievement and will go a long way in popularising the art of body building. Even though, body building is not a well recognized sport in India, the whole team under the aegis of Karnataka Amateur Body Builders Association affiliated to IFBF Indian Fitness and Body Builders Federation participated in the above NAC Mr. World Bodybuilding Championships. This has proved the talent and skill through continuous hard work and dedication at the world stage.
